The Connacht Cricket Union Senior Cup is the premier knock-out competition for clubs in Connacht, with teams battling for the historic Connacht Perpetual Trophy, first played for in the 1800s. It remains the most prestigious prize in Connacht club cricket, carrying with it generations of tradition and pride.

In reply, Athlone were restricted to 108 all out, despite notable contributions from NJ Chandradasa (25 off 37, 3×6), Chamel Singh (14 off 44), and Sujeet Kumar (14 off 17, 1×6). Bilal Khan (5-18) and WA Raja (2-16) starred with the ball.

Kilconnell’s reply was equally competitive, finishing on 225 all out in 37.1 overs. A Baby (63 off 40, 3×4, 7×6) and Prince Paulson (30 off 21, 5×6) led the fight, but Bharadwaj (4-37) and Srajesh Mishra (3-31) ensured University of Galway held their nerve.

In reply, County Galway C.C chased down the target comfortably, finishing 200/3 in 26.3 overs. Dilum Gomes (25 off 29, 5×4), Suhaas Shekar (25 off 31, 2×4, 1×6), and Sampath Gayam (102 not out off 74, 6×4, 10×6) guided their side to victory.
Ballyhaunis set a challenging target of 199, thanks to some gritty batting from Asad Abbas (55 off 38) and Haseeb A (15 off 19). But County Galway’s bowlers stayed disciplined, with Alhaj Safi taking crucial wickets to keep the score in check.
Chasing the target, County Galway made it look easy, crossing the line at 200/3. Sampath Gayam’s brilliant 102 not out and Alhaj Safi’s handy 23 not out guided the team home, turning the semi-final into a confident statement ahead of the final.

Chasing 165, University of Galway finished on 169/3 in 28 overs. Srajesh Mishra (95 not out off 89, 6×4, 7×6)* and A Verma (32 off 49, 4×4, 1×6) anchored the chase, with support from ashwin tamil prabhakaran peter raj (16 not out off 25, 2×4).
Ballaghaderreen set a competitive total of 164, with Qasim Hafeez (35) and Zeeshan Afzal (29) leading the charge. Their innings was full of determined batting, but University of Galway’s bowlers, led by Mohammad Sufiyan (5 wickets), never let them take control.
Chasing a tricky target, University of Galway’s Srajesh Mishra starred with 95 not out, supported by A Verma (32) and Ashwin Peter Raj (16 not out), steering the team to 169/3 and a memorable victory.

Batting first, University of Galway struggled after a steady opening, before a determined fightback. P Saner anchored the innings with an excellent 61 runs from 71 balls, while M Danish (25 runs) and S Mishra (20 runs), made key contributions. Extras played a major role, with 35 runs (including 28 wides) swelling the score to a fighting total of 199/9.
County Galway’s bowlers kept up the pressure throughout, A Safi starred with 3 wickets in 4 overs. Wickets also came from R Nair, K Mehmood, M Ashraf, M Danish, and W Chaudray.
In reply, County Galway began explosively, racing to 50 runs in just 5.5 overs. S Burra blazed 46 runs from 29 balls with 6 fours and 2 sixes, while S Nasim also contributed 41 runs from 48 at the top of the order. Later, M Ashraf (25) and A Safi (20) steered the chase after a mid-innings wobble.
University of Galway’s bowlers fought hard – M Asad, N Bharadwaj, and M Sufiyan claimed 2 wickets each, while P Saner took 1 bringing the total to 7. Despite these efforts, County Galway reached 200/7 in 32.2 overs, sealing a dramatic 3-wicket win.
