On April 23, 2025, the Connacht Cricket Union will officially launch its new online platform, www.connachtcricket.ie. The site is designed to be the central hub for everything related to the CCU 2025 Season, featuring up-to-date news, match fixtures, results, regulations, resources, and information for players, clubs, and supporters.

This digital upgrade aims to strengthen engagement with local communities and fans, offering better visibility for clubs and players, and helping to grow the cricketing culture in Connacht.

2025 Season Begins With Premier League Clash

The Connacht Cricket Union (CCU) 2025 Season officially gets underway on April 25th with a thrilling opener at Kilconnell Oval. The University of Galway 1st XI will take on Kilconnell Cricket Club 1st XI in the first match of the Connacht Cricket Union Premier League. This match sets the tone for a competitive season, filled with opportunities for clubs across the province to showcase their skills and passion for the game.

Building on the success of the inaugural Interprovincial match against a Munster XI Select in July 2024, this season promises further steps toward regional development and national visibility for cricket in Connacht.

A New Chapter Begins: Connacht Cricket Union AGM

Ahead of the Connacht Cricket Union (CCU) 2025 Season, the Union hosted its Annual General Meeting (AGM) on November 10, 2024, welcoming representatives from Cricket Ireland and clubs across the region. The AGM marked a turning point for cricket governance in Connacht, ushering in a new leadership team dedicated to inclusion, development, and strategic growth.

The newly elected board will oversee the growth and delivery of the CCU 2025 Season, with a strong focus on governance, participation, and high standards across all competitions.
